Hello and welcome! This is where you’ll find the ongoing story of my 1972 Datsun 240z restoration project.

I embarked on the journey of documenting this restoration back in January 2016, sharing my experiences and progress on NICOclub.com. While the community there was filled with wonderful and supportive people, I often encountered frustrating issues when it came to uploading and viewing content on their website. Eventually, in April 2017, I decided to discontinue my posts there and instead shared occasional snapshots on my Instagram account.

Despite these challenges, I remained committed to tracking the evolution of my project. In order to maintain a comprehensive record of the restoration process, I established this website, which archives the journey up until roughly 2018. My dedication to working on the car has never waned, and I’ve achieved significant milestones. However, I must admit that I’ve fallen behind in terms of documenting these recent developments. As of now, the Datsun 240z is not only running and drivable but also in the midst of its bodywork phase.

Rest assured, I’m determined to keep this website, datsun-s30.com, updated as soon as I find the time and opportunity to share the latest updates on my restoration project.
